Getaway to the Red House

My wife and I had a nice getaway in the natural beauty surrounding this area. I should have researched a little more before booking. The Little Red House is a cozy cabin, but not the most luxurious. I am a big guy so the small beds, although comfy, were extremely hard to fit in as a couple. (A single occupant would do fine.) I’m not sure if the bed sizes were specified or if I just overlooked that when booking. We were also disappointed that the water would reach tepid temperature, at best. Showers were a little cool for our taste and the water never got hot (although there is a sign on the bathroom mirror that says “caution…hot water”…it was not the case. We also had trouble with the lock code on the door, but the host responded extremely quickly to resolve that issue. This was nowhere near our worst experience, however it was not what I was expecting either. Nice, cozy, and clean, but a little more “roughing it” than I wanted for my wife’s birthday getaway.

My partner and I came out to The Bridges after seeing the segment on the local news. This resort is a great place to disconnect. We did so much during our two night stay. From relaxing in the hot tub and swimming to fishing and stargazing, The Bridges is a great escape. Vickie, the property manager, was always willing to answer questions and provide insight into the property and area. The on-site restaurant is delicious for three square home style meals. We are excited to see how this resort develops and hear big things are headed for the Holiday Season!
