Serene Cedar's Edge Room 2

The one positive thing I will say is that the room was clean. This place is marketed as a resort but it is a step up from camping. The AC worked but smelled like it definitely had mold in it. There was a dehumidifier in our room that started beeping and flashing at 2am- there were no instructions on how to empty it- so that was not a pleasant problem to fix in the middle of the night. The porch lights did not turn off so it was SO bright in our room all night long. (Paper thin pull down shades and no curtains) I think I got two hours of sleep- my back was killing me in the second half of the night and hurt all day the next day. We didn’t even stay the second night- we just went on home. The natural aspects of the property are stunning- loved playing in the river with the free floats provided. BUT the pool was dirty and cloudy, not to mention the LOUD fan that squeaked so loud you couldn’t hear anything else- I left with a head ache trying to enjoy the pool with my kids. The restaurant is a joke- it’s run by teenagers who unfortunately don’t care about it. There was something floating in my tea, mold on the eggs at the salad bar, also the lettuce was room temperature- not cooled. One of the waitresses started mopping next to our table before closing and so all we could smell was cleaner while trying to eat. Some food came out burnt and they advertise “farm to table” there’s NO way. It was obviously frozen foods. At least the prices are low. It looks like it used to be an amazing place but it’s very run down now. I would not recommend anything but a day trip to see the bridges/creek on the property.
